Liz Parrish at L'ÉCHAPPÉE VOLÉE 2017

Our world is aging. According to the U.S. Census Bureau by 2020 there will be more people over the age of 65 than under the age of 5. Due to this, the diseases of aging are the number one cause of suffering in the world today. These impact not just our quality of life, but our economies too. It doesn’t have to be this way. With emerging gene and cell technologies we have a unique opportunity to alleviate suffering and revolutionize healthcare for everyone.

L'ÉCHAPPÉE VOLÉE is an accelerator of innovative projects initiated by the TEDxParis community in 2014. At the intersection of a think-tank, conference and workshop, L'ÉCHAPPÉE VOLÉE proposes and showcases projects that emphasize innovation in the service of the common good.
